Belgium now in high resolution on Google Earth and Maps
Aug 2nd, 2009

As of August 2nd, all Belgians can now view new, high resolution aerial imagery of their country on Google Earth/Maps!

Last weekend Google released the data of Belgium, which were acquired in the spring of 2007 by Aerodata International Surveys and posted news about this on their Google Earth blog:http://bit.ly/9xIQc. This dataset replaces the older, lower resolution satellite imagery.

The imagery, at a ground sampling distance (GSD) of 40cm, is part of the complete 80 000 km² 2007 integral Benelux dataset.

Please see newsflash of May 28th, 2007 for more information.
