Aerodata flight staff on a maintenance mission to the USA

Jan Possemiers and Andre Josten left Antwerp on September 25th with the Merlin airplane for a maintenance mission to the M7 facilities in San Antonio, Texas (USA). Although this turboprop aircraft has a large range ( 1800 Nautical Miles or approx 3400 km ), a transatlantic flight was not feasible in one stretch. Therefore the trip went via Scotland ( pick-up life raft ), Iceland and Canada to finally reach San Antonio after a 4 day adventurous journey. After an extensive maintenance program the aircraft and its crew returned safely to its homebase early February.
