Aerodata helps making the "Google Earth" episode of Klokhuis
Oct 31st, 2007
Dutch kids TV program "Het Klokhuis" (“the apple core” in English) has aired an episode in which the widely used Google app "Google Earth" is discussed.
Central story of the episode is the process of image acquisition and processing by Aerodata that has lent them a hand in explaining this to the Dutch kids.
The Klokhuis crew and cast recently visited the Aerodata offices to make the Google Earth episode in which the young viewers will be explained in simple words how the aerial imagery on Google Earth is obtained and processed to be published. This included an operational aerial survey flight to the TV studio complex in Hilversum.
The episode will shed some insight in general but critical parts of the aerial photography acquisition and processing workflow, like flight planning, flight execution and image processing.
