Aerodata sets new precedent: Benelux (80.000 sq km) acquisition in just 4 weeks
May 28th, 2007

Last April 2007 Aerodata succesfully used the extremely fine weather period for the acquisition of nationwide digital aerial imagery over 3 countries: The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg (also known as BeNeLux). An area of 80.000 sqkm was digitally captured in a period of just 4 weeks, thereby creating a unique time document of the above countries.

This aerial photography is presently being merged into one very large image database simultaneously in color (RGB) and color infrared (NIR) at 40cm GSD (ground sample distance).

Besides the interested general public, this map-accurate digital product is mainly aimed at serving the ever widening community of GIS users that need current, high resolution imagery for their projects.

As usual it will be available exclusively under the aeroGRID® brandname, both online and offline, depending on data volume and client needs.
