New high resolution imagery of all major French cities
Jan 12th, 2007

As of January 2007, Aerodata International Surveys (Antwerp, Belgium) and its subsidiary Aerodata France (Lille, France), are pleased to announce that a massive amount of brand new high resolution imagery of French cities is coming to market.

After having successfully implemented the aeroGRID® programme in both the Netherlands and Belgium, Aerodata has widened its scope to include France.

In 2006 the aeroGRID® French Cities programme was brought to life with the main goal to acquire high resolution digital aerial photography of every major French city and urban area to anticipate on the growing demand for GIS content.

The setup even included the entire French Riviera, stretching from the Spanish to the Italian border.

The imagery in the aeroGRID® French Cities programme consists of seamless aerial imagery mosaics at 12,5cm GSD.

It will be the most up-to-date, most detailed and largest aerial photography dataset of French urban areas till date.

Over the coming months these map accurate French City aerial imagery datasets will become available to the public. They will be well suited for both professional mapping applications as well as for any other application.

The original stereo imagery can also be delivered for photogrammetric applications (vector mapping, 3D modelling, digital elevation models etc.). Even more, since all of the imagery was acquired with the Vexcel Ultracam digital camera, colour infrared imagery can be delivered for environmental purposes.

The products will be made available off-the-shelf directly after completion of each individual project. An availability list of completed projects will be regularly updated on our website.
