A wide range of mapping services, from photogrammetry to
laser and hyperspectral scanning, ensures fit-for-purpose
geo-information solutions, services and products.
Scanning of analogue aerial imagery on our Leica DSW 500
photogrammetric scanner can be executed at different resolutions
from 12,5 micron upwards. Image dodging can be performed to
compensate for irregular lighting conditions in the images.
Laser scanning is also referred to as LIDAR (light detection
and ranging). It is a technology that fires a laser beam at
the ground from an instrument in an aircraft to measure distance
to the ground. Using GPS/INS at the same time determines the
position and altitude of the aircraft.
Hyperspectral scanning is a remote sensing technique in
which the reflected light from the earth’s surface is
recorded into many spectral bands. Combination and analysis
of these different bands gives information on the types of
vegetation, the composition of water, sand and other materials.
