hyperspectral scanning

Hyperspectral scanning is a remote sensing technique in which the reflected light from the earth’s surface is recorded into many spectral bands. Combination and analysis of these different bands gives information on the types of vegetation, the composition of water, sand and other materials. It can therefore be applied in environmental analysis, agricultural inspection, forest and water management.
