past, present & future |
| |
Aerodata International Surveys is an independent
private company founded in 1992. Its first office was set up in
a hangar at Antwerp Airport, Belgium.
Initially only aerial photography and other forms of remote sensing
from aircraft were done and in 1996 the company started as one of
the first with digital aerial triangulation and orthophoto production.
From then on a great number of major projects were executed in various
countries in Europe.
In 1997 the acquisition of LiDAR data was added to the range of
products and services of Aerodata Surveys.
Since then Aerodata Surveys specialised in airborne spatial data
acquisition of the earth’s surface and advanced processing
into geo-information products. Offices are located
at Antwerp Airport, Belgium and Lille, France and houses a
professional staff of over 25 people and a wealth of highly advanced
equipment.
Early 2004 Aerodata was the first European company to own and operate
a Vexcel UltraCam-D digital photogrammetric frame camera and during
the first year of operation more than 15.000 exposures were made
on a number of international projects.
The second operational year (season 2005) proved that the digital
camera technology was accepted rapidly in the market, resulting
in the majority of customers switching to digital and a record high
of over 70.000 exposures collected.
Nowadays Aerodata Surveys is leading an international, strategic
network, which enables it to offer an even wider range of expertise,
production capacity and technical equipment.
This structure enables Aerodata Surveys to effectively and dynamically
anticipate changing and growing market demands.
The easy availability of powerful workstations and widespread CAD
and GIS systems, in combination with new data compression techniques,
brings about an exponential demand for geo-data, for which Aerodata
can be your excellent partner.
